The Rashee Rice legal situation is developing with new information coming quickly and now TMZ reports that the Chiefs’ WR admitted to being involved with the six-vehicle car crash that injured four people in Dallas, Texas on Saturday evening.

It was alleged that Rice was responsible for both vehicles that caused the accident, and he released a statement through his attorney saying he was cooperating with law enforcement.

The attorney representing Classic Lifestyle, who reportedly rented the Lamborghini to Rice, alleges Rice sent a text after the accident admitting involvement with a promise to pay for the totaled vehicle.

According to TMZ, “Rice fired off a text shortly after the wreck, acknowledging he was involved in the crash and promising to pay for the Lambo, which was totaled.”

The Chiefs have yet to make any official statement on the matter, though team president Mark Donovan acknowledged the incident on KCMO Talk Radio and said the organization was gathering facts and would take any appropriate action.

NFL PR told ESPN they were monitoring the situation as well, though the league hasn’t made any statement either.

TMZ was also told that one of Rice’s friends was driving the Corvette, but it’s important to remember that these are all allegations at this point. We’ll continue to update you with more information on the developing story as it becomes available.
